Remember the days when you couldn't see over the counter? Your little toes pushed you up as far as possible, but still nothing was attained. Your small hands were feeling along the smooth top of the counter, and crumbs were occasionaly sticking to them.

Remember the desire to be bigger? To be a grown up, carry around a suitcase, and talk about the weather.

Remember when everything was enormous? The stairs would feel like hours of climbing, and the play ground was an amusement park. You would run to everything just in case it disappeared.

Remember the darkness creeping around your head at night, and the blanket your ownly safety net? Millions of tangled arms, moving like snakes under your bed just waiting to grasp your tiny ankle.

Remember the bright colors that fascinated you? The crayons, markers, and clothing all neon or bright.

Remember the cartoons? You participated in the adventures with the Smurfs for that half hour.

Remember when time was eternity? The days would lag, and scrape its feet along the asphalt. Your mind, blank, and filled with negative thoughts of boredom.

Remember ignorance? How the world was one large question, and everything should be known at once.

Remember when your parents were the smartest people you knew? They were the only individuals who could tell you why the sky was blue or the grass green.

Do you remember yesterday? When you and I were talking about love, and how it flows through us like sand.

Memories are bliss.
