<< To the Cafe >>

It is in that moment when you realize that you are fooling yourself with your sophistication. That cup of tea is only plaster filled to the brim with hot water and herbs. What makes the cup of tea a symbol of your intelligence? What makes any symbol represent eloquence? It doesn't matter. The child with dirt on her face, and no shoes may have more grace than you, and your cup of tea.

Is it location that is key to whom has the greater knowledge? No. A cafe in Paris doesn't make you any greater than a cafe in Alabama.

Is it the speech? The words slipping off your lips in curls, and not straight lines, does this make you a savour to the gods? Of course not. A southern accent should be recognized as words just as much as an accent represented by a British maid.

Now, is it the linguism? If a word is just a word, sematics never counts.

You have been defiled to just existing. If what you say, where you say it, and how you say it do not count, what does?

The answer, you count, who you are counts, but not the costume of your mouth.
